Dr. Michael Hilker
Currently, I am a Business Analyst at Accenture in Luxembourg. I have received my PhD degree in June 2008 regarding a dissertation project, which has been performed within the INTRA project (April 2005 - July 2008) and which has been concerned with network security: the defence of a network against intrusions, e.g. viruses, worms, or Trojans. In this field, I have used novel biological-inspired approaches as e.g. artificial immune systems, artificial ant colonies, and complex adaptive systems. The goal has been to introduce novel architectures, techniques, and workflows for an integrated security system that is adaptive, dynamic, and reliable where common used and novel techniques are combined. The thesis has been been supervised by Christoph Schommer (University Luxembourg) and Alexander Weron (Hugo-Steinhaus Center, Wroclaw, Poland, and University of Wroclaw, Poland). Keywords
