Code Division Multiple Access in the Cluster-Head Gateway Switch Routing Protocol

CDMA in the CGSR Protocol

Different clusterheads could operate on different spreading codes on a CDMA system.

Issues that must be also addressed are:
  • usage of a common control code for initialization and for reconfiguration
  • selecting orthogonal codes (codes that donīt disturb each other) in adjacent clusters

Pseudo links in CGSR

Initially, having a link between 2 nodes which can communicate with each other. After clustering, those 2 nodes may be unable to communicate since they have been allocated to two different clusters, using different codes for transmission.
That link will then be broken and removed from connectivity.
